Join us for an afternoon of celebration at the magnificent Victorian Weelsby Hall in Grimsby. This Grade II listed hall is part of the town’s rich fishing heritage and was built in the late 1890s for George Sleight, the first Baronet of Weelsby who once owned the largest fleet of fishing trawlers in the world.
As part of this year’s theme on Architecture we will be showcasing our interpretation plans for the repairs and restoration of Weelsby Hall.
Included in this free event:
• Art workshops and model making with local artist Nicky Dillerstone
• NEL Music Hub activities for adults and children
• Nature trail for children
• Heritage community stalls
• Music by local band Back to Brass
• More to be announced
